AttendEase

An anti-cheat attendance system for classes and offices. You only get marked present if you’re actually in the room, on your own device, during a live session.

The problem

Paper registers and open sign-in links share one weakness: anyone can sign for anyone, from anywhere. AttendEase only counts you if you’re really there.

How it works

Venues
Each venue is saved with its GPS coordinates and a geofence radius.
Location check
Students can only sign in from inside that radius.
One device, one signature
Device fingerprinting stops one phone or browser from signing in a whole row of friends.
Live sessions
Course reps start and end each session, and students join with a unique share code.
Real-time log
Attendance shows up as it happens, with manual entry for the odd edge case.
Accounts
Course reps and students sign in through NextAuth.
